UNDP Montenegro and Montenegro Government Extend Efforts to Improve Government Communication Capacities

Rastislav Vrbensky, Resident Representative of UNDP and Žarko Šturanović, Secretary General of the Montenegro Government, signed the Agreement on the implementation of the project that would help strengthen the government’s capacities for international public relations and strategic communication.

The project is focused on improving the capacities of government PR offices. It will include different training programs for PR officers and spokespersons from every department of the government. The regional conference of government communication will also be a part of this project. It will be held in September 2012, in Montenegro. Government PR officers from the entire region and many European and American communication experts will participate in this event.

Another goal of the project is to promote the participative democracy and its principles, in order to improve public participation in decision-making processes.
