Andrija Lompar, Montenegrin Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, and Milutin Mrkonjic, Serbian Minister of Infrastructure, confirmed the realization of the Corridor 11 project.
Mr. Lompar expressed his hope that the European Investment Bank would provide funds for the construction of Corridor 11 in Montenegro and that the consultants working on the project would confirm the originally established route.
According to Mr. Mrkonjic, the construction of Corridor 11 is one of the priorities, right after the construction of Corridor 10 that will go through Serbia. Works on the Ub-Lajkovac section are going well and two more sections will be constructed: Obrenovac-Ub and Lajkovac-Ljig. Azerbaijan will take part in the construction of the section of Corridor 11 that goes through central Serbia. An agreement between Serbia and Azerbaijan was signed last Thursday, February 2.
