Book lovers and those who like cultural events will surely enjoy the next couple of weeks. Namely, a book fair will be held between 24 August and 8 September in Kotor. The grand opening is scheduled for today at 8pm at the Pjaca od kina.
The Association of Publishers and Booksellers of Montenegro recently decided to seriously approach the book fair in Kotor and turn it into a real tradition, inspired by the very successful fair “With a book over the border” in Tivat. In the previous years, the book fair in Kotor wasn’t held on a regular basis and was canceled way too often.
All famous Montenegrin publishers and booksellers were invited and they gladly accepted the invitation. They will present their latest publications, but classics and oldies won’t be forgotten either. Of course, in order to give the fair an international flair, the organizers invited publishers from neighboring countries — Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia (“Obodsko slovo”, “Obod”, “Zalihica”, “Univerziti pres”, “Laguna”, “Arhipelag” i “Školska knjiga”).
The organizers plan to hold various events and activities during the fair — from book promotions to literary evenings and author introductions.
The book fair in Kotor will end on 8 September.
