According to a press release from the Montenegrin Ministry of Tourism, there are over 120,000 tourists currently residing in Montenegro. The numbers were pretty much the same in the same period last year. However, in June there was an increase when compared to last year — there were 12% more tourists.
The Ministry also noted that in the first 6 months of 2012, there were 6% more tourists than in the same period last year. They also said that all necessary infrastructure has been provided and prepared — there are 301 beaches and 400 lifeguards. “Hotels are full at the moment, and much less vacant that last year. We also expect a great post-season.”
Last year, over 1,37 million tourists visited Montenegro last year, thus making a profit of 700 million EUR for the country.
